As part of our drawing from observation week we took a trip to Bristol to explore some exhibitions and points of interest. The trip was really good as it allowed us to explore a place that was different to Cardiff and had some interesting places to visit that some of us had never seen before.
I live very close to Bristol so I’m quite familiar to the area and what it has to offer. We walked around the M Shed which is always very interesting but unfortunately the exhibition charged so we didn’t end up going there, nevertheless it was really interesting to walk around.
We also ended up at Christmas steps where there was a small exhibition named Toys which had some really playful and fun contemporary artwork. It wasn’t really anything I was personally interested in but it’s always nice to see what other artists have created and it helps me imagine objects in other ways to which I would usually.
